“You Don’t Have a Non-Disclosure Agreement With The Court”

I’ve written before about the police using “nondisclosure agreements” as an excuse for not getting warrants before using Stingray cell phone tracking devices. A judge in Baltimore didn’t find that reason compelling when he found out about it, telling the prosecutor “you don’t have a nondisclosure agreement with the court.” Rather than reveal whether or not the police used a Stingray cell phone tracker, the prosecutor decided to keep any evidence found as a result out of the trial.

Let’s hope Florida judges begin to follow suit.
